About Dr. Diamond Rashad, OTD, OTR/L
I’m Diamond Rashad, also known as Dr. Diamond. A bit about me, I am a pediatric occupational therapist, aunt, birth & reproductive advocate based in Georgia. I love vinyl, books, photography, travel & being a foodie! My primary experience stems from working from a trauma-informed lens with children, adolescents, and young adults with differences in sensory integration, executive function, feeding & mealtime participation, and supporting Autistic clients and their families.
I’ve been working for eight years as a pediatric OT and received my post-professional doctorate in occupational therapy in 2019. I have always loved working with children and families. As this platform grows, I offer coaching and consultations to families and educators on how to implement neurodiversity-affirming practices. Periodically, I offer workshops to provide practical knowledge to meet the sensory and occupational needs of neurodivergent individuals.
More about me:
- I’ve volunteered in perinatal mental health to support new parents, and supporting infant feeding especially with breast/chestfeeding
- I’m here for self-care, doing the inner work, and taking care of our mental health.
- I’m a recovering perfectionist and people pleaser, but a work in progress! That’s the goal.
- I have trainings in neurodiversity affirming care and am also neurodivergent myself!
- I have experience with feeding therapy, sensory processing differences, neurodevelopmental differences, cerebral palsy, and developmental disabilities from birth to young adults.
- Trained in perinatal mental health through Postpartum Support International, lactation support, and birth & postpartum doula trainings
- I’ve taken courses with DIR-Floortime, SOS Feeding, and CLASI trainings.

This quote has stayed with me with Akeelah & the Bee ( #babythisiskekepalmer ). It always reminds me that if I have a gift, don’t be afraid to use it.
My goal is to inspire (and make you laugh sometimes 🤣). But mainly to remind you that there is power in your story. In your presence. In your connections. You impact others so much more than you know!
