Whether you’re just starting to explore occupational therapy as a pre-OT student or starting your capstone, you’re in the right place.
I first discovered occupational therapy in high school through a healthcare careers exploration program called Explorer Post. Out of all the professions I observed, I was drawn to OT’s unique focus on using meaningful activities to support healing, growth, and real-life outcomes.
That’s something I’m really passionate about supporting now. Whether you’re just learning what OT is, looking for guidance as a pre-OT student, or preparing for fieldwork and capstone experiences, there are so many ways to get connected. You can explore mentorship through the Coalition of Occupational Therapy Advocates for Diversity Mentorship Program (CMP), or even work with me directly as a capstone mentor to help shape your interests and goals.
Some people discover OT early, others find it later, or even as a second career, and all of those paths are valid. The beauty of occupational therapy is that it meets you where you are.
